Two men have been charged in connection with a luggage theft where a substance thought to be irritant spray caused injuries at London's Heathrow Airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, have both been charged with two counts of robbery and two counts of deploying a toxic agent, authorities have stated.

This legal action stems from an probe of an assault at the parking structure at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Earlier that day, two women were robbed of their suitcases stolen after exiting a parking garage elevator, authorities reported.

A toddler was caught up in the incident during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and were subsequently released.

This event – described by police as was isolated and not considered a terror-related act – resulted in disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area for a brief period.
