Well beyond 14 days subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of renowned filmmaker Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues persist in remembering the duo.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Writing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, stated he just recently felt ready to express about his personal sorrow.

"Enough time has passed that I can finally articulate my loss into words," shared Elwes, saying that his first meeting with Reiner left him smitten. "When we commenced spending more time together I knew this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor shared behind-the-scenes footage from the movie, remarking that he cannot recall "any day without joy".

"This story is about affection, allegiance and giving. Things that Rob cherished deeply. Which is among the many reasons he was the best person to direct it," Elwes continued.

He additionally honored Michele Reiner, stating: "To say that they were a formidable pair would be an understatement. My heart still aches every time I remember you." He concluded with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Colleague and Comrade

In a distinct tribute, legendary director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"Right away, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was very funny and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the protagonist.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked seamlessly with everyone, and he understood the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese wrote.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Sealed

Recently, a Los Angeles superior court judge agreed to bar the disclosure of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, after an appeal from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A legal directive put a security hold on the files to prohibit the public release of "related notes, documents, files or images" associated with the ongoing investigation.

The Medical Examiner's office had earlier stated their deaths were the result of homicide, with a public database listing the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

After the killings, public personalities shared varying reactions.

Former President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, offering provocative claims that were broadly criticized by many public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his perspective to the those speaking out recently. Conversing on his program, Rogan characterized the statements as "disappointing" and remarked they revealed a concerning lack of empathy.

Rogan ended by proposing that an adviser could have intervened when the choice to weigh in on the passing was made.
