This young athlete boasts substantial social media following
Kai Trump will have numerous prominent supporters as she makes her first LPGA appearance later this week.
The 18-year-old athlete, who is the granddaughter of a former US president, was granted a sponsor's invitation to participate at the Annika tournament in Florida.
Her grandfather, an avid golfer, possesses several golf courses and frequently competes against his granddaughter.
"He's fairly competent. I can't reveal details but we have competitive games," she stated.
Kai explained that her grandfather, who cannot attend, counseled her: "Just stay calm."
"He practically told me to compete and enjoy myself," she added.
"In my eyes, he's simply an ordinary family member. He won't be there for the tournament. He's busy with world affairs, so he's quite busy."
While still amateur, the golfer has competed in just three tournaments recently and has the 461st position in AJGA standings.
But she can receive tips from 15-time major champion, who is dating Vanessa.
"He represents the greatest golfer in the world," Kai stated.
"And he's a more impressive human being. He advised me to go out there, enjoy myself, following the flow."
She'll challenge multiple the biggest names in professional golf at the competition, including second-ranked the champion, British golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
Officials commented that involving Kai brings golf to different demographics, particularly with the next generation.
Kai boasts millions of followers and has started a personal apparel and wellness label.
She begins at 17:30 GMT.
