Aircraft Carrying Pete Hegseth Required to Touch Down in UK Due to Crack in Windshield

A plane ferrying the US defense secretary was compelled to make an unplanned landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday due to a fissure was discovered in the aircraft's cockpit window, per an announcement which stated that the secretary was unharmed.

"The aircraft touched down based on standard procedures and all passengers, among them Defense Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a spokesperson stated in a online announcement.

He was traveling back from a quick journey to the Belgian capital at the time.

This incident is not the initial instance that a American defense plane transporting a high-ranking official has suffered mechanical issues.

In a previous incident this year, a US Air Force plane ferrying Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was compelled to return to the US capital after experiencing a mechanical fault.
